About the Artist:
Julie Morris is a Scottish watercolour artist who has been painting professionally since 1993. Her work was first presented on collectable items such as thimbles and trinket boxes before she transitioned to exhibiting her watercolour paintings in galleries. She now primarily creates delicate yet expressive works on handmade paper, using its natural texture to enhance the depth of her paintings. She often incorporates gold leaf, natural stone pigments and fragments of old maps, creating layers of texture and depth to her work.
Exhibitions & Recognition:
Julie’s work has been exhibited in galleries across the Borders, Lothians and Lanarkshire. She has also been selected to exhibit at the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) and Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) Annual Exhibitions.
