Jonathan Shearer

Jonathan graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art from Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen in 1993 and a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Cyprus College of Art in 1996.

 

He has received several awards including; the Fundacion Valpariso, Residency, Spain in 2005, Commendation, Aberdeen Artists Society Exhibition in 1995, 1st Prize-Gray's Sketch Club Exhibition, Aberdeen Art Gallery in 1993, The John Kinross Travelling Scholarship to Florence and the Sir Robin Phillipson Memorial Medal for Painting both at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1993.

 

Jonathan has shown his work in many solo and group exhibitions in Scotland, England and Cyprus. His work is in several collections including the Royal Scottish Academy, Grays School of Art, Royal Cornhill Hospital and Highland Council, together with work in private collections in America and South Korea.
