Currently Artist in Residence for the year on the Rahoy Hills Nature Reserve on the Morvern Peninsula. A landscape artist celebrated for her evocative landscape oil paintings, living on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, walking, camping and cycling around her local area and across Scotland.  Shona’s creative process involves on-location mixed media studies which serve as the foundation for larger oil paintings completed in her studio.   Through Shona’s paintings she shows the joy of outdoor adventure and the beauty of our wild places. 

In 2023 Shona was on a creative residency run by An Lanntair Arts Centre and Sail Britain, where she spent a week on a sailing boat, sailing from Stornoway and exploring the coastlines of Lewis & Harris and The Shiant Isles.
