Astrid Leeson's work delves into themes of history and our connection to place. A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2009, she later returned to complete an MFA in Arts & Humanities in 2017. In 2018, Leeson held a solo exhibition at The Meffan in Forfar. Her accolades include participating in TRIGGER, a research network funded by Artworks Scotland and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation (2011-2013), receiving the RSA New Contemporaries Stewart Prize (2010), and creating a public artwork commissioned by Volvo in Perth (2009). In addition to her artistic practice, Leeson has contributed to cultural development and widening access initiatives within further education and heritage organisations
