A Graduate of Aberdeen’s Gray’s School of Art, John Paul Raine lives on Deeside, near Aberdeen.

His career has included time spent as an illustrator for television, publishing and the oil industry, teacher of life drawing at Gray’s School of Art, teacher of art in Denmark and lecturer in painting and drawing at Aberdeen College.

A founder member of the Traditional and Decorative Art Group, which exhibited in Aberdeen Art Gallery in 1992, John Paul Raine exhibits regularly throughout Scotland, his work is held in both public and private collections at home and abroad
