Born in Aberdeen, Bryan Angus studied at Gray'S school of Art from 1978 - 1982.

After spending two decades working as a community artist, theatre designer, festival director , arts centre manager and arts officer in Bristol, he returned to the Northeast of Scotland in 2003 to launch the Creative Retreat in Gardenstown.
He began working in linocut printmaking around 2012, developing distinctive, hand cut editions inspired by the rugged coastal landscapes and architectural character of Banffshire.
In addition to prints, Bryan paints in oil, pastel, inks and watercolour.
Since adopting printmaking, Bryan exhibits UK - wide, with international residencies in Istanbul, Norway and Italy. His work is held in both public and private collections.
