Clare Arbuthnott RSW is a contemporary Scottish artist known for her vibrant landscape and floral paintings. Based in Edinburgh, Clare studied at Leith School of Art and Cumbria Collage of Art and has served as a lecturer at Gray’s School of Art.
Her expressive, lively brushstrokes and rich colour palettes capture something of the changeable nature of our Scottish climate. Clare’s paintings often revisit significant locations, reflecting her deep personal connection to the landscape she portrays.
Growing up amid the varied landscape of The Mearns, Clare maintains a strong emotional link to the region, despite now being based in Edinburgh.
