Jenny is an observational oil painter who strives to capture light and movement in her artwork.

Working from her home studio in Forfar, Angus, she is inspired to paint the world around her from landscapes to people.

She has a painterly realistic style where there is a deliberate looseness to her brushwork, this handling of the paint is in contrast to key areas where she controls the paint with a much more careful rendering, where this unique technique creates atmosphere and movement. It carries an emotional weight which evokes a sense of

anticipation that something else might be happening or about to happen.
