Originally from the North East of England, Jessica Oliver completed her Foundation Course and BA (Hons) in History of Art before moving to London, where she lived until relocating to Edinburgh in 1995.

After taking time out to raise her family, she reconnected with her artistic practice in 2012, joining Leith School of Art — first as a part-time student and later as part of the Specialised Landscape Course.
This period of renewed focus marked the beginning of a sustained exploration into her visual language and her deepening relationship with landscape painting.

Now based in Edinburgh, Jessica continues to develop her work through studio practice and exhibition, creating paintings that evoke the quiet power of place and the persistence of memory.
