Based in Dundee,Astrid Leeson graduated from DJCAD, in 2009 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, and returning in 2017 earned her MFA in Art and Humanities (Distinction).

Astrid was selected for New Contemporaries (2010) and more recently as part of a curated exhibition from Gallery 201 in Kyoto Japan (2023). She has continued to show in various group shows and have paintings selected for various projects in Scotland including RGI, RSA and SSA exhibitions. Notably, Astrid won a solo show at the Scottish Arts Club which was held in March 2024. Her work can be found in several Galleries and private collections across Scotland and America.​
